Project Logistics Coordinator

Employer Description

Alpha Technologies, which provides world-class powering solutions, seeks a Project Logistics Coordinator for its team in Bellingham, WA.  This position is Responsible for the overall material and equipment support of assigned field projects. Responsible for a variety of activities in the support of purchasing and delivery requirements. Responsible for invoicing customers and approving subcontractor invoices for payment. Provides Project Managers the project material, equipment and services schedules to meet project deadlines and ensure customer satisfaction through on time completions. Provides other logistical support as required.

 

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Interfaces with Customer Fulfillment and ATS PMO to track in coming customer orders for field projects
  • Tracks and reports lead times, ship dates, work start dates, and other scheduling data to all Alpha personnel with a need to know; communicates effectively with all departments regarding schedules, updates, and issues
  • Stays informed of issues and provides solutions
  • Serves as the point of contact for all material and subcontractor activities for field OSP Project Managers and associated field resources
  • Serves as point of contact between field personnel and depots for material and parts replenishment and RMA's
  • Assists in creating and refining material and equipment lists for projects
  • Monitors all projects to anticipate material and services requirements and preventing delays
  • Assists in expediting equipment as required; resolves shipping issues in a timely manner
  • Executes all relevant details of customer contracts, specifications and project office procedures
  • Performs SAP functions to facilitate purchasing, invoicing and reporting

 

Additional Responsibilities:

 

  • Performs project budget analysis
Job Requirements

Requirements and Skills:

 

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent

Experience: 2- 4 years in the field of Office/clerical or purchasing

 

  • Excellent record of attendence
  • Will work on-site (no tele-commuting)
  • Ability to speak/read/write English
  • Detail oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Work well under pressure
  • Understanding of inventory control, warehouse and planning functions
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment and prioritize work
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with limited supervision.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with subordinates, co-workers, management, vendors and customers
  • Perceptive, analytical, with ability to induce cooperation in complex organizational relationships
  • Good problem solving skills and attention to detail

 

 

PC Application Skills:

Basic level:      PowerPoint

Intermediate level:  Word, Excel, Outlook

Advanced level:

 

 

Travel Requirements:  N/A

 

 

Desirable: 

 

  • CPM
  • Knowledge of manufacturing practices, materials and their use
  • SAP process implementation and training experience
