Job Description

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
-Design, develop, and maintain database systems, web-based applications, custom interfaces and system integrations as necessary. 
-Automate and document solutions and processes. 
-Translate business needs into technical specifications. 
-Develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures, and guidelines necessary to effectively administer business intelligence databases and application environments.
-Develop and maintain ETL processes, Microsoft SQL Server databases, Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) projects, Java and PHP applications. 
-Work collaboratively with management and staff to ensure sound analytics, methods, and assumptions are incorporated into processes.
-Continually tune systems and code to enhance performance on existing databases and applications.
-Work with organizational stakeholders to integrate analysis results into reporting of credit union products, services, programs, and departments.
-Perform routine operational and monitoring activities to ensure the database and application environments are stable and capable of meeting ongoing business needs.
-Collaborate with other IT teams to integrate systems and ensure that backup and recovery processes are in place and functioning correctly.


Job Requirements

REQUIRED SKILLS, EXPERIENCE, AND EDUCATION:
Education and Experience
-BS/BA in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant field.
-5-7 years of experience working with software development and/or scripting languages.

Skills
-Knowledge of SQL queries, SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).
-Familiarity with web-based development required (e.g. Javascript, PHP, ASP, ColdFusion, Visual Basic, etc.).
-In-depth understanding of database management systems, online analytical processing (OLAP) and ETL (Extract, transform, load) framework.
-Familiarity with BI technologies (e.g. Microsoft Power BI, Oracle BI).
